I grew up in a home with wonderful godly parents and received Christ at our little Mennonite church when I was 15 years old. After graduating for Lancaster Mennonite and a year at Eastern Mennonite College, I married Doris, my childhood sweetheart, and we moved to my family’s farm. We farmed for about 12 years, operating a dairy and chicken farm along with a bed and breakfast.

A couple of years into our marriage we felt God leading us out of our Mennonite church and he led us to Worship Center, a one-year-old start-up church. God used that move to radically change our lives! In 1984, I was asked to come on staff to give leadership to our home groups. A year later we decided to sell our farm and give our full-time efforts to helping build this local church.

I’ve learned that I’m called to work alongside a visionary leader to support and help implement the vision. In my role as Executive Pastor, I get to oversee the daily administration of the business and ministry functions.  Serving on the Lead team, I work closely with the Lead Pastor and assist with providing leadership to the ministry and staff. I serve as team leader to the Finance Director, the Maintenance Manager, the HR Coordinator, the Hospitality Pastor, and the Marriage and Family Pastor.

Doris and I have three adult children, their spouses and six amazing grandchildren. Besides hanging out with my family, I love traveling, cheering on the Phillies and Eagles, fixing things, 4-wheeling and getting my hands in the dirt!
