Beware of the Drift: Jesus anchors our belief systems
Have you ever been floating in the ocean and suddenly realized how far you’ve drifted from your spot on the beach? It can happen so subtly that we barely notice until we look back. It takes intentional effort not to drift in the ocean, and the same is true with our relationship with Jesus. There are so many messages in our world that can subtly cause us to drift from the Gospel. The book of Colossians reminds us that we need to intentionally stay anchored to Jesus to keep our belief system from falling away from the Gospel and towards other human-centered philosophies.
