One of the most thrilling days of your life is the day you propose to your future spouse. I still remember that day in my life like it was yesterday. I was not as imaginative as many men are these days, but it was special, nonetheless. I was working for a lumber mill in Wisconsin, and there was something beautiful in the air that day as I sweated alongside my workmates. And then it began to snow. It was the first snowfall of the year, and I knew I needed to ask my (now) wife to marry me that night. The rest is history – 42 years of history and counting!
Have you recently gotten engaged? Or do you know someone who attends Worship Center who has gotten engaged? If so, here is the support we can offer through the engagement and wedding journey:
- Meet with me initially to share your story and plans for the wedding day.
- Take a professional assessment to help with our premarital mentoring process.
- Each couple is assigned to a seasoned premarital mentor couple. You’ll meet with this couple up to six times or more before the wedding date, and there is normally a follow-up meeting, as well.
- We have several pastors who can be officiants for your special day, or you may have a licensed pastor whom you know. Either way, we want you to have a beautiful Christian wedding.
- If needed, we can provide a wedding coordinator.
- Also if needed, we can provide the facility for your wedding ceremony.
Some of the services above involve costs, including the assessment, an honorarium for the pastor doing the wedding, the wedding coordinator, and a facility fee. All of this is explained in the initial meeting with me.
