Marian
God clearly called me to a lifetime of teaching. I recall beginning my teaching career in second grade—maybe even before that if you can count teaching my dolls before I was allowed to go to school. I have always been drawn to helping those who found learning to be a challenge.
Along with a committee of five others from Worship Center, I helped to establish Living Word Academy, now known as Lancaster County Christian School. I served in many roles there over 19 years. I then became an associate professor at Harrisburg Area Community College for 10 years and following retirement there, taught both English and math at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
My passion for the Lord and love of people continues to be developed through leading small groups, teaching Bible studies, and looking for ways to bless and encourage friends and acquaintances. My husband Keith and I have been investing into God’s people at Worship Center for over four decades. We are living at Willow Valley Communities and find much fulfillment in ministry there as well.
