Beware of the Drift: “Help! I’m sinning, but I want to stop.”

What are you chasing after in life? Is it a relationship? Money? Good grades? Success? Sometimes, the things that make us feel alive can compete with our pursuit of Jesus. As Christians, God calls us not to idolize and seek the things of this world but to live a life devoted to him and his word. In the book of Colossians, Paul warns us to guard ourselves against any pursuits, affections, and behaviors that will cause us to drift from our devotion to Jesus.
