Route 56 is Where Kids Can Belong, Believe, and Bring Their Friends

Heather Bivins   -

Kids think they’re teenagers and adults think they’re little kids. Someone recently asked my 13-year-old daughter if she’s allowed to drink coffee. My daughter was so offended — she doesn’t even like coffee! But she likes feeling like a little kid even less.

Being in 5th grade is hard. You think you’ve got life pretty much figured out, but adults keep telling you what to do. That’s why ministry to 5th and 6th graders is so unique. At Route 56, our ministry for 5th and 6th graders, students are free to be themselves, ask tough questions, and wrestle with who God is and how knowing him impacts their lives. We even let them drink a little coffee now and then. Just kidding, we know they’re still kids.

At Route 56, everyone can belong, believe, and bring their friends. We don’t care how old you are, or how old you think you are, you fit. We don’t care how old you are, or how old you think you are; we believe God has a plan for you right now. We don’t care how old you are, or how old you think you are, or who your friends are, they fit, too.

Route 56 meets in the Student Ministries Auditorium on Sundays at 9am and 11am. No need to sign your kids up — we’ll be ready for you!
