Josiah & Michaela

Josiah and Michaela Slabach are serving in Pailin, Cambodia with the University of the Nations (YWAM). The University of the Nations Pailin (U of N Pailin), focuses on educating youth, serving the local community and developing young leaders. They do this through a lot of different avenues, such as helping with soccer ministry, teaching English, meeting locals through their staff-run cafe, and visiting people in the local community. They also run schools and are working on building a new campus.

Josiah and Michaela are both originally from Lancaster County, however, they met as students at YWAM Montana Lakeside. After being students at YWAM Montana, they came back and staffed with the School of Biblical Studies. Through this, both Josiah and Michaela have a big heart for the Bible and teaching it. They also had the opportunity to go to Cambodia, and God gave them both a heart for this nation.

Cambodia is a beautiful place with very hospitable people. Josiah and Michaela love the people in Cambodia, and serve God in what he is doing in Cambodia in whatever way they can. They believe in prayer, obedience to God’s voice and being led by the Holy Spirit. They want to do everything they can to champion the Cambodian youth to become leaders who invite their fellow Cambodians to follow Jesus.

Their vision is: “We strive to be “yes” people to build the body of Christ, while living a life of prayer and faith filled obedience.”
