Alex & Delia

Alex and Delia, along with their son Ezra Shecaniah, are Global Partners serving with Answering the Call (ATC). ATC exists to reach people in difficult-to-reach places through crossing borders marked by war and natural disaster, bringing relief, hope, and love to the poor, orphaned, persecuted, and marginalized. They come alongside local leaders, encouraging and equipping them to carry out their God-given vision for their communities and surrounding countries. The Dienners live in Costa Rica while Alex oversees their work in Africa as a Field Coordinator, traveling regularly and leading teams.

Alex (a Lancaster County native) and Delia (from Germany) met and got married while serving on the mission field in Reynosa, Mexico. They have a heart for the global church and feel called to be a bridge between the developed and undeveloped world through crossing cultures and languages, exalting Jesus in the nations, preaching the Gospel, stopping for the one in front of them, and empowering believers to go and do likewise. Avid readers and philomaths, you can often find them challenging the status quo and inviting others to step outside the box and take a step of faith.

Additionally, ATC creates opportunities for individuals and groups (such as families, churches, students) to travel on short-term mission trips to their various fields of operation; as a Field Coordinator, Alex will help facilitate and lead many of these trips. The Dienners are excited for the opportunity to create pathways of partnership with believers by offering meaningful short-term missions experiences to those looking to reach the lost and serve our world.
