Rick & Karen Allegretto
Rick and Karen have served with Youth With A Mission since 1977, communicating the gospel, helping develop leaders and ministries through training and mentoring missionaries for service, being multipliers for world missions.
Their work has spanned a wide range of contexts, including ministry to families and orphans; children, youth, and seniors; survivors of abuse and those struggling with addiction; the poor and marginalized; students and professionals; and individuals exploring a call to missions or partnership in ministry.
From serving the underprivileged to equipping professionals, their central vision and passion remains constant—to see individuals enter into life-giving relationships with Jesus Christ and to release leaders into their God-given callings through teaching, coaching, leadership development, and pastoral care.
Rick and Karen led the development of ministries throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico, with Rick serving as a part of the international eldership for YWAM for 25 years. Rick also served as Vice Chairman and Director of one of the organization’s largest missionary training and sending bases worldwide, known for its history of training and sending short-term and career missionaries to numerous nations and helping launch new ministry locations globally. A key focus has been aiding the development of strategic ministries in restricted nations and among unreached people groups, as well as urban ministries and outreach initiatives across the United States.
Today, Rick and Karen continue to serve in key eldership roles, coaching and developing leaders and ministries domestically and internationally. They are the parents of three married adult children and the proud grandparents of eleven grandchildren.
