Alex & Delia Dienner
Alex, a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and Delia, originally from Germany, met while serving on the mission field in Reynosa, Mexico, in 2018. They’ve served together as Global Partners ever since. The Dienners live missionally as a whole family with their three children—Ezra, Phineas, and Alani—in the mountains of Costa Rica, serving amongst the Bribri tribe.
Their ministry exists to activate, equip, and support indigenous Christian leaders and local churches in their callings to transform communities and advance God’s kingdom together. In this role, Alex regularly travels to pioneer or in partnership with other organizations throughout North and South America, as well as to crisis regions in Africa. United by a shared calling, they carry a deep heart for the global Church and a passion to serve as a bridge between the developed and undeveloped world. Through crossing cultures and languages, exalting Jesus amongst the nations, proclaiming the Gospel, and stopping for the one in front of them, they seek to empower believers to go and do likewise.
Their ministry creates opportunities for individuals and groups to participate in short-term mission trips to Costa Rica and abroad. These trips focus on equipping participants to hear God’s voice, share the Gospel, and grow in ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit, with an emphasis on activation, discipleship, and multiplication. Whether participants are new to missions or seasoned leaders, the goal is to cultivate sensitivity to the Spirit, confidence in the Gospel, and a lifestyle of obedience. Alex and Delia desire to see individuals and teams return home empowered to live sent—carrying what they have received into their families, churches, and communities.
