What Are We Sensing for Groups in This Season?
In this season, the Lord has been inviting us as a church into generosity—not just any generosity, but Kingdom-driven generosity.
This kind of generosity is willing and sacrificial. It’s sharing what has been entrusted to us—our time, our resources, our finances, our space—to meet the needs of others and to advance God’s Kingdom in ways that elevate His Word and honor the sanctity of life. This invitation extends far beyond money. It touches every part of how we live and love.
As our groups embrace and align with Matthew 25 Project, we believe the Lord is inviting us to be intentional about creating space for this kind of generosity to be lived out. And especially when it comes to elevating God’s Word, we sense a clear invitation to intentionally create space for one another in community to grow together in His Word, and our love for one another and our world.
Community doesn’t just happen—it requires intentionality. It's sacrificial at times, but it's also one of the most practical and beautiful places where we experience the Lord at work. Over and over in Scripture, we see how central care, love, and responsibility for one another are in the life of God’s people. Jesus modeled it. And Paul urged it in every church he wrote to. This rhythm of loving, caring, and growing together has always been essential to following Jesus—and it still is today.
This invitation for groups is simple, but profound: to connect with God and with one another, to engage with God and His Word together, and to serve in love—both one another and the world around us.
This reflects the Father’s heart. God desires that we would not walk alone, but that we would be formed in community—sharpened, encouraged, and rooted together in Him.
Groups aren’t just one more thing to add to our schedules. Groups are a collective of people choosing to follow Jesus together. They exist to help us live out our faith in community. They're an invitation to model the way Jesus lived, to do life together, and to grow as His disciples in meaningful, Christ-centered community.
So, what does this mean for us in this season?
The invitation is simple: join a group. Not because it’s expected, but because we believe God forms us in community in ways we cannot experience alone. If there’s a group you can step into, we encourage you to prayerfully consider saying "yes" and committing to grow alongside others and in God’s Word.
We believe the Lord is building something meaningful among us—not rushed, not forced, but rooted in love, truth, and shared life. Groups are one of the ways we respond to that invitation, trusting that God meets us as we take intentional steps toward one another.
