Seeds of Hope in North Africa
Church family,
A team of five from Worship Center had the privilege of serving alongside our Global Partners in North Africa for a week of ministry. We went to encourage, pray, and come alongside what God is already doing, and we returned deeply moved by how clearly the Lord is at work.
In a region where faith can be costly and the Gospel is still new to many, we saw something powerful: God softening hearts. We witnessed openness, spiritual hunger, meaningful conversations, and moments where people encountered the peace and love of Jesus in unforgettable ways.
From Our Global Partner in North Africa
"In this region of the world, God is planting seeds of the Gospel in the soil of many hearts.
"The nation we visited, while home to a strong historic church presence, is also known as a place that shapes Islamic thought and influence far beyond its borders. Yet even here, we saw clear signs that God is softening the ground. Despite the strong religious context, many people were open and hungry for the Good News—eagerly listening and asking questions about Jesus.
"Throughout the week, the team ministered to more than 100 people through a variety of outreaches, including home visits, children’s ministry, church gatherings, and many personal conversations. Each day brought opportunities to pray for people, share personal testimonies, devotionals of encouragement, and the message of the Gospel.
"One of our key ministries in this region is serving refugees. We had the privilege of visiting the homes of new arrivals and families facing very difficult circumstances. Sitting together, we were able to express the love of God through our presence, words of encouragement from Scripture, and stories from our own lives. In two of these homes, we had the joy of leading two people in first-time decisions to follow Jesus. Along with sharing and prayer, we were also able to offer a brief reprieve from daily struggles by providing several bags of groceries.
"The next evening, we gathered at a community development center for refugees. Sitting around tables with groups of young men, we encouraged them to live out their faith boldly and to trust God with their futures. They live under layers of hardship caused by oppression, corruption, and difficult environmental conditions—yet they are incredibly resilient. Our sharing helped lift their spirits and turn their eyes to Jesus. Some around the tables did not yet believe in Jesus, but they heard a clear message of His love for them personally and for their nation.
"Throughout the week, we also had opportunities to share our faith with people in the streets and parks. For several, it was the first time they had heard a clear presentation of the Gospel. As we peacefully exchanged questions and stories, we could sense their hunger for a loving relationship with God. Their openness gave us a glimpse of how God is working in the hearts and minds of many in this nation, and deepened our commitment to keep sharing and praying.
"Alongside these outreaches, we were able to encourage local believers not to grow weary, but to stand firm in faith and continue trusting God. We spent Sunday with one congregation, praying for them and reminding them that the global body of Christ needs them to endure. Pastor William’s message deeply resonated with the church and served as fresh encouragement on their journey. As we shared communion together, we were reminded that although our lives are
lived thousands of miles apart, we are united in Christ.
"The team from Worship Center did an exceptional job engaging with the culture, embracing God’s heart for this nation, and stepping courageously into new challenges. Both our local partners and the team were deeply blessed during this week-long mission trip.
"One of the community development centers we visited serves as a catalyst for ideas and growth within the refugee community. Because of the many layers of hardship refugees face, many struggle to gain traction in their efforts to move forward. Through this center, we offer courses in biblical worldview and vocational skill development to help provide that traction. Coinciding with the visit from the Worship Center team, we were also able to help launch a basic
mobile clinic led by a trained nurse from the community.
"Our vision is to see refugees empowered to return, rebuild, and restore communities as transformed individuals reflecting biblical values and partnering with God wherever they reside."
thank you, worship center
Thank you again for being a sending church, faithful in prayer, generous in support, and passionate about the nations. We left North Africa with a deeper commitment to keep praying and believing God for a harvest.
