Changes Coming Fall 2026

Worship Center has been on a journey of being more outward-focused and Kingdom-minded as a church, seeking to elevate God's Word and the value of life however we can. Part of this journey has come to fruition through Matthew 25 Project, but we're not stopping there. Our leadership team has been prayerfully discerning how to better disciple our church, no matter their age. What follows are the results of this prayerful discernment from the Lord.

Recently, we've shared a few significant changes and additions coming to Worship Center in the next few months. These announcements are summarized below.

WC KIDS & STUDENT MINISTRY CHANGES

Effective Sunday, August 23:

  • Converge will move from Wednesday nights to Sunday nights.
  • 6th grade ministry will become part of Converge Middle School (6th-8th).
  • 5th grade ministry will become part of WC Kids (Birth-5th).
  • Sheena Scheffel will serve as Kids Pastor (Birth-5th), providing leadership and oversight for the entire ministry.
  • Alison Lewis will serve as Upper Elementary Pastor, leading ministry for grades 4-5. 
  • Jessica Moister will serve as Lower Elementary Director, leading ministry for grades K-3.
  • Becca Estime will serve as Early Childhood Director, leading ministry for birth through Pre-K.

    • MID-WEEK PROGRAMMING ANNOUNCEMENTS

    Beginning Wednesday, September 9:

  • On Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m., Worship Center will host a church-wide Bible study in the main auditorium each week.
  • WC Kids will host programming on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. for birth-5th grade.
  • Dinner will be provided for a small fee, starting at 5:30 p.m.
  • Monday night groups will move to Wednesday nights. (This does not include individual small groups. If you'd like to attend Wednesday night Bible study as a group in addition to your regular gatherings, please talk to your small group leader.)

    • Please join us in praying over these changes and additions to the life of our church. With more programming comes a need for more volunteers to help make it happen. We'd love for you to pray and consider how you might be part of this new phase. 

    Volunteer needs include WC Kids leaders for Birth-5th Grade, Cafe Team Members to help serve dinner, and Production to help with audio, screens, and lighting. Click here to learn more and sign up to serve!
