What does being a Christian actually look like? There are a million different opinions on this subject, but what you really need to know is what the Bible says about being a follower of Christ.
"'And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.' The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31
The Bible instructs Christians to live lives that are pleasing to God. Jesus boils it down to two things:
Love God with all of your heart, soul, and mind.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Loving God means talking (and listening!) to Him, reading the Bible and obeying it, and worshipping Him because of the incredible work He did in your heart. Loving your neighbor doesn't just mean loving the guy across the street from you. It means you should love the people you come in contact with and show them Christ's love. These are the two basic tenants of Christianity. They define the kind of life you've been called to.
