Thriving and Healing After Sexual Abuse

You were designed for freedom, not fear.

If you're a victim of sexual abuse, consider joining this support group that will help you walk through the process of healing.

Find out how it could change your life by reading the anonymous story below:

"Experiencing abuse as a child is one of the single worst experiences a human being can have. As a survivor, it took more courage than I thought I had to come forward to tell my story. But when I did, I found a group of women who supported me, encouraged me, challenged me, and loved me through a time when I felt unworthy of any sort of affection. I had taken on the belief that my abuse had turned me into a monster- unworthy of love or understanding and doomed to walk a path I didn't choose or want. It's a bit dramatic, yes, but this happens to many women who survive sexual abuse.

As a survivor, I worked through my own healing and I want to give back, to come alongside other women with stories similar to mine. This group of women recognizes that we are not alone, and we want to assure others that they are not alone. We serve a God who loves us more than anything, and as he said through Isaiah, he wants to bring life to the deadness inside us, to turn it into something miraculous and beyond our wildest imaginations. It won't be easy or painless, but with the support and love of those around us, we can begin to experience the incredible love in our Heavenly Father's arms and heal the wounds we have carried for far too long.'

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness with streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

This support group meets Thursday nights at 7pm for 10 weeks in the Spring Room.
