Worship Center is hosting a Refugee Care team meeting with Bethany Christian services.

On Tuesday, May 21, Worship Center is hosting a Refugee Care team meeting with Bethany Christian Services. If you are interested in helping refugee families settle in Lancaster, this meeting is for you!

Refugees arrive with little more than the clothes they are wearing and are relocating to an unfamiliar culture. We see the need and opportunity to help these refugees learn the basics of how to use household appliances, banking and mail systems, and transportation to and from medical appointments. We also understand the importance of a friend in an entirely strange place. This is your opportunity to help these families!

Bethany Christian Services asks that all volunteers attend the training before receiving a family, so this training is the first step. The meeting is at 7pm in the Fireside Room at Worship Center. The training is free, but we do ask for people to register so we can properly prepare for the meeting. Thanks for joining us as we reach out to our local community!
