OTAS Canceled: FAQ

Why is it canceled?

After much prayer, discussion and tears we felt the need to make the tough decision of canceling OTAS 2020. Our reason for canceling OTAS is to focus on what is best for our young adult community in this season. Especially as we are trying to discern when we start to meet up in person again. We continue to seek wisdom in how we can regather safely and wisely to serve our TLR community best. We desire to provide safe environments for young adults to connect with one another, grow with God and serve the community.

Where’s your faith? Why are you living in fear?

This decision was not based off of fear. It was based off of what is best for us as we start to reengaged in in person community. Also, this provides the ability to devote time and effort into numerous other opportunities for people to connect.

Will there be OTAS 2021?

We sure hope so! We look forward to planning OTAS 2021 if the Lord allows.

Is OTAS canceled or rescheduled? Is there any other events planned instead?

OTAS is canceled and will not be happening in 2020. You can stay up to date on what will be happening over the summer by following us on our social media platforms — either Facebook or Instagram!

When will you meet in person or at church again?

We are currently working on a plan for that. We will have more info coming in the next few weeks. Stay connected on social media for the exact dates.

How can I stay connected this summer?

The best way to be connected at TLR is to join a community group and come to our in-person services (beginning Tuesday, July 21 at 7pm). You can find a list of open groups online at worshipcenter.org/groupfinder. You also can take part in an interaction group that currently meets online every Tuesday after the service.
