Monthly bulletin: September 2020

September's digital bulletin

August 31, 2020

Our in-person services are happening on Saturdays at 6pm and Sundays at 9 and 11am.

You can also join us online during Sunday services. Be sure to tune into Pre-Service Live on Sunday mornings at 8:30am, then stick around for an online discussion around the message right after the service.

WC Kids is open! We're doing all that we can to ensure our awesome kids have the best, safest experience, so check out the policies we're putting in place. Also, be sure to take a look at our sick kids policy.

Our Kids and Student Ministry teams have put together some awesome materials and lessons for our kiddos! Parents, if you aren't ready to come back to church quite yet, you can access kids' lessons and materials here or follow them on Facebook.

Route 56 & Converge

Route 56 meets during Sunday morning services outside at the East Entrance. Come hang out with us!

Middle school and high school students, follow Converge on Instagram for awesome lessons, content, and conversations! Or, come to Converge on Wednesday nights. Converge is happening outside at our East Entrance Wednesdays at 6:30pm.

Life Weekend

Young adults you're not going to want to miss LIFE WEEKEND this year! It's happening Oct 16-18, 2020. We will be going to camp YoliJwa to be refreshed, encouraged in the word, make connections with old and new friends, and just flat out have a good time together! Life Weekend will include times of worship, teaching, break out sessions, community time activities (boating, volleyball, open gym, etc.) and lots of time to connect with other TLR friends. Sign up online! Social distancing will be strongly encouraged and masks recommended when unable to maintain distancing.

Party in the Parking Lot

Young adults come celebrate fall with The Living Room at our annual Party in the Parking Lot on Tuesday Sept 29 from 7-9:30pm in Worship Center's west parking lot.  Join us for an evening of great music, fun yard games, connecting with others, roasting s'mores around a campfire. Bring some cash to enjoy food and coffee from local vendors and a chair or blanket for sitting by the fire. We ask all participants to social distance. Masks are highly recommended.

Count Me In

Count Me In is a three-part orientation happening on October 4, 18, and 25 for those who are looking to learn more about the heart and vision of Worship Center and what it means to be a member of this church family. It’s also a great opportunity to make some new connections with others who attend our church. Register online.

Heart of Man

The Heart of Man is a powerful feature film that invites the sons and daughters of God to leave behind our broken, religious way of thinking and relating to God for a picture of true freedom and wholeness. The story intertwines the narrative of the prodigal son wrestling with the choices of sexual sin with real emotional interviews with men and women who have experienced the mess and subsequent and healing of sexual brokenness.

Worship Center is hosting a showing of this move on September 13 at 7pm! Learn more and register here.

Small Groups are the best way to connect and grow together at Worship Center. Our next session begins the week of September 20, 2020. If you're looking for a group to join, be sure to check out all the available groups online beginning August 29, 2020 at worshipcenter.org/groups. You can also signup onsite in either Connections rooms on August 29-30, September 5-6, and September 12-13!

Worship Center’s ministries happen because of God's grace, his calling, and your generosity. We want to reflect the generous nature of our God, because we know there is nothing we have that he has not given to us — and we want the world to see just how generous he is.

Our method for online giving is secure and simple. If you'd like to give online, you can click here or text your donation amount to 717.925.7288. You can also set up a recurring gift here.

Father, we cry out to you for justice in our land, building communities where our children can laugh, learn, and love one another from pure hearts.

Psalm 17:1
"O Lord, hear my plea for justice. Listen to my cry for help. Pay attention to my prayer, for it comes from honest lips."
