Mentorship Programs in Lancaster

How you can mentor kids, refugees, and others in Lancaster.

by Chris Lautsbaugh on February 08, 2018

With the decline of the family structure, more and more teens and young adults need someone to walk alongside them. This does not require expertise in any area, but a heart that's willing to listen and love.

We have multiple opportunities to come alongside people in various stages of life:

  • Tutor a student by helping with homework after school
  • Connect with an urban young person and offer a big brother or big sister type of relationship
  • Spend time with an ex-offender by driving them to some required meetings engaging in conversation along the way.
  • Come alongside a refugee and mentor them in how life works in this nation.

One of the greatest ways to address the growing needs in our community is by putting a face, a name, and a story to the statistics. Change begins one person at a time.
