Since her 20s, Lena Arborgast was aware of God’s call on her life to be a support and encouragement to wives and mothers in very practical ways. Lena explains how this has come to pass in ways she could not have foreseen.

"I have come out from an abusive 32-year marriage relationship.  My abuse started two years after our wedding, which included physical, mental, and verbal abuse. I had become so frozen with fear and was not able to move from that position. I also became an unhealthy enabler. Seeking counsel and growing stronger enabled me to remove myself from my situation with the help of a team of concerned friends and counselors.

I had become so frozen with fear and was not able to move from that position.

"In 2003, I separated and consequently walked through a divorce. Throughout my healing journey, I received incredible support from my family, my church, and my friends. My story has become a victorious because of this, along with the choices I knew I needed to make.

I praise God every day for the emotional and spiritual health I now function in

“The Lord has put me in a position now to encourage women in similar situations. It’s a joy for me to walk alongside them, standing by them during their own healing journey to offer support and hope. I know it is possible for them to experience healing just as I have! I LOVE to share this hope with them and have no doubt they too can experience healing from an abusive situation. To see healing take place in their lives as we share, cry, and pray together is a wonderful blessing to witness. My journey over the past 10 years has brought complete healing from my past.  I praise God every day for the emotional and spiritual health I now function in. My joy is to believe for healing, and give encouragement to women who find themselves in an abusive relationship.
