About Matt
Meet Matt Mylin
Joined WC staff: March 2007
Family: Married my beautiful wife, Kelly on September 20, 1997. We have three children: Hallie, Ethan, and Alyssa.
Saved: Age 6, after watching a skit about Satan in our children's church service, I was so scared that I wanted to ask Jesus into my heart right away so that I wouldn't go to Hell with that ugly guy who had the ugliest costume ever. Truly gave my heart to God when I was in 6th grade.
Previous lines of work: I worked on a tomato farm when I was a teenager, and then at a grocery store deli serving up lunch meats and cheeses. After high school when I was attending Bible School I started working for a drywall company. I have hung and finished drywall full time up until March 2007. (And still do a little on the side.)
Musical Background: I love playing the piano. It's a great stress reliever for me and personal time of worship. I've been playing piano since age 6, took a total of approximately 10 years of lessons, both playing traditionally -reading music- and playing improv. or by ear. I took voice lessons for about 18 months and can also strum a few chords on the guitar. My goal is to learn the guitar well enough to lead worship with it. One of the things I find fascinating: That although there are only 12 different pitches in music, there are endless combinations of putting those notes together to make new songs, even after so many have been written.

Life Motto: Live one day at a time without regrets!
One of my greatest experiences: Watching the births of all three of our children. Hard to explain, but it gave me a new understanding of how precious life is, and how unbelievably thankful I am, that I am not a child bearing mother!
Three People I'd like to meet: Chris Tomlin, Joel Osteen, and Michael W Smith
Final Thoughts: I'm so thankful to be part of a solid Bible believing church. Worship Center is a place where I truly believe we'll continue to fulfill our name and be a center where people from all walks of life, and all ages can come together with one voice and worship our Creator and Heavenly Father!
