Shepherd's Touch Counseling is a biblically-based
Counseling Mininistry reaching out to individuals, couples, and
families. The name was selected to depict how Christ's gentleness
and compassion flows out to those who are hurting and wounded.

| Our
staff consists of trained counselors who endeavor to be led by
the Holy Spirit and guided by the principles of the Word of God.
Staff from various backgrounds and specialties are available to
meet the needs of our clientele. Several staff members are certified
or licensed as mental health or addictions counselors. Others
have earned degrees in counseling, or are currently enrolled in
a degree program.
Dr. James E. Johnson, L.S.W., D.Min, Director of Shepherd's Touch,
has more than 40 years of counseling experience in a variety of
settings. He holds degrees in counseling and theology, and is
an ordained minister as well as a licensed and certified counselor.
He is the author of two books: The Gift of a Sound Mind,
and Freedom From Depression.

- To provide biblically-based Spirit-led counseling services,
which are readily affordable and easily accessible, to individuals,
couples, families, and groups.
- To strengthen marriages and family units through counseling
and enrichment services.
- To build up the Body of Christ by enhancing the mental health
and family life of its members, dovetailing services with the
ministry of the local church, and calling the church back to
a ministry of healing through counseling.
- To equip others to be more effective counselors.
- To provide preventative programs such as pre-marriage counseling
and marriage and family enrichment.
- To publish and distribute biblically based materials on counseling,
mental health, marriage and family relationships.
