 When
Jesus came to live among us, He spent much of His time doing life
together with His disciples. Why? Because He Himself lives in
community with the Father and the Holy Spirit, and He wants His
followers to experience the same thing. (John 17:21)
After Jesus left, His disciples simply continued His ministry
by inviting others into community. The new believers were radically
committed to each other to enjoying fellowship, sharing their
resources, eating together, meeting in homes doing
life together in an authentic way.
No wonder others were drawn to join them! (Acts 2:42-47)
