Why Career Crossraods?

We estimate that in our church family alone, there are hundreds of people who are either unemployed, under utilized, or thinking about a career transition.

The purpose of Career Crossroads is to help people through their experience with unemployment by offering encouragement, hope, and practical tools as they move forward in God's plan for their lives. Some of these tools include: Training and support, networking and fellowship, a lending library of resources, and connections with other job transition organizations.

Skill Enhancement and Training

Career Crossroads provides training to help you improve your current skills and learn new skills for the marketplace. Topics include:

• Interviewing Skills
• Dress for Success
• Communication and Presentation
• Getting to the decision maker
• How to Network
• Resume and Cover letter writing
• Outside speakers

Transition Support

Come meet with others who are experiencing the same challenge in the workplace and learn how to use God's word to navigate these tough times. During the meeting we will:

• Learn what God says in the Bible about challenges and how to overcome them
• Discuss specific scripture versus to carry with us for encouragement
• Look at Bible passages and stories for direction
• Fellowship and support each other
• Pray for our needs and each other
