MOC Christmas

The Ministry of Construction (MOC) Christmas festivities started off with a mid-morning snack. While workers were served coffee, hot cocoa, donuts, and cookies, LWA's Kindergarten class stopped by to warm a few hearts by singing some Christmas carols. The kids sang loudly and the workers were impressed. Before they went back to class, they exclaimed, "Thank you for building our new church!"

The Christmas dinner started at noon. Workers were given a raffle ticket as they entered the doors. A delicious dinner was donated by John and Dawn Koser and a team of volunteers helped serve. Pastor Sam led in a prayer for the food and for the workers' families, and Tim Keller announced winners of "grand prize" gifts that included $30 Cabella's gift cards and cordless drills.

Leaving the MOC trailer after lunch, workers stopped by a truck to pick up a ham or turkey that were donated. Then, inside the new building, they each turned in their raffle ticket to receive a gift. These gifts included 4-foot levels, Turkey Hill gift cards, tape measures, folding knives, thermoses, beanies, socks, gloves, and flashlights.
